Dr Tom Jenkins

Dr Tom Jenkins is a Musculoskeletal GP offering clinic based and visiting services to patients in Cheltenham and the surrounding areas.

Muscularskeletal clinic

Dr Tom Jenkins can provide investigations, diagnosis and joint injections for musculoskeletal conditions, as well as investigation and treatment of common conditions affecting your general wellbeing.

Alongside NHS work, Tom has worked as one of the medical officers for British Rowing since 2000, which he continues to this day, alongside ad hoc work for other elite sports.

He completed his hospital training in Cheltenham and Gloucester, qualifying as GP in 2005, also becoming a foundation member of the newly formed Faculty of Sport & Exercise medicine in the same year.

Since that time he has worked in GP practices locally, as an urgent care doctor for South Western Ambulance service and undertakes NHS musculoskeletal clinics.

A personal approach is important to us and our patients. We offer our patients a traditional care approach, which allows them to be seen by the same practitioner every time they visit.

Cotswold Health treats patients with the utmost respect and care, building trust and rapport. We get to know our patients, treating them as individuals rather than just a set of presenting symptoms.

We offer in-home visits, care home visits or appointments at our surgery.

Mission and Ethos

Our mission is to provide expert, personal and private musculoskeletal GP service to Cheltenham and the surrounding areas. We are a centre of excellence in the provision of non-surgical musculoskeletal treatments.

The Cotswold Health ethos is built upon a local, family and community-oriented mentality. Tom’s children have all been brought up in the Cotswolds and have all attended local schools. Tom even walks to the practice every day as he lives so locally.

Cotswold Health provides musculoskeletal and private GP services to the local community, carrying out in-home, care home and surgery-based treatments. This is an important part of the Cotswold Health service, as many elderly patients with musculoskeletal problems suffer from lack of mobility, which requires a flexible and personal care approach.
